BIOGRAPHY

Two Jam  are a Sunshine Coast based duo who play classic rock, 60-90s pop and rhythm and blues cover covers, but have a broad enough repertoire and depth of talent to provide their renditions of many popular easy listening, middle of the road and country music songs. While this flexibility and extensive repertoire serves to keep the most diverse audiences entertained and satisfied, Two Jam's primary interest is in capturing the ears and emotions of the 30 plus live music lover who appreciates the sounds of archetypal R&B guitar with strong vocals and harmonies performing songs they all know and love. Two Jam do not play acoustically and base their sound on a fusion of guitar, keyboard, harmonica and vocals with the latest in digital workstation technology. Two Jam is made up of Jason and Carl Lindeman, who developed as musicians while performing classics from past masters over the last few decades. The sound though, is their own, and far from being restricted to one genre or style, encompasses sweet vocal harmonies to goose-bump inducing guitar improvisation. Carl’s talents encompass lead vocals, rhythm guitar, harmonica and keyboard, while Jason is most content playing lead guitar and providing harmonies. Picture this: you sit in a lowly lit venue enjoying a drink with friends while you feel yourself lifted, lowered and moved by the raw emotion of two musicians practicing their craft, eliciting memories of deeply etched melodies. Two Jam do not just aim to merely ‘cover’ a song, but to present it in a unique and innovative way that still respects the intent of the original artist. This is the experience they aim for – not just background noise, but a very real and personal expression of an art-form that captures the attention and of the audience and engages them at a fundamental level. Prior to forming TSW, Jason and Carl have played in various bands and trios throughout Queensland. In Carl’s case, this was from the late 1960s. Jason, a relative newcomer, started playing in pubs and clubs at the age of 15 in the late 1980s. While both musicians have played in bands encompassing broad styles of music, this particular distillation of their talents derives not only from their previous experiences, but represents what was in their hearts and minds all throughout this journey. Each performance is tailored to a particular venue and audience and TJ has the depth of experience to modify each performance to best satisfy the audience, and therefore the employer. Two Jam have independently produced several original CDs and on occasion, include some of this material to their performances.
